My Story

Fellow Type 2 Diabetic. Human First. Custard Cream Survivor.

I spent years navigating the finger-pricks, the GP lectures, and the 2 PM brain fog. I created this platform not as a clinical lecturer, but as someone in the trenches with you.

The Diagnosis & The "Custard Cream" Moment

The Day the Numbers Caught Up

When I was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes a few years ago, I did what any sensible, mature adult would do: I pretended it wasn’t happening and reached straight for a custard cream.

But once the shock wore off and the blood sugar spikes refused to go away, the reality set in. I’m a UK dad with four kids aged 13 to 38—which means my dinner table has everything from school exam stress to full-grown adults. I didn't have time for a chronic condition, and I certainly didn't have the energy to spend my life feeling exhausted.

What shocked me most wasn't just the physical symptoms—it was the emotional weight. The quiet shame in the GP waiting room. The late-night internet searches when my feet started tingling. The utter dread of stepping onto the bathroom scales.

What I Stand For

Fresh wholesome food ingredients
Pillar 01

Real Food, No Faff

Managing blood sugar shouldn't require shopping at niche health shops or spending hours in the kitchen. It’s about smart supermarket swaps, protein-and-fibre buffers, and normal dinners your family will actually eat.

Sustainable nutrition
Person taking a peaceful walk
Pillar 02

Small Shifts Over Perfection

You don’t need a 60-minute gym sweat session to see results. A simple 5-minute post-meal walk, smarter meal timing, and consistent sleep do more for your insulin sensitivity than punishing yourself ever will.

Consistent daily wins
Person feeling relaxed and supported
Pillar 03

You Are Not Broken

Type 2 diabetes is a physiological challenge of insulin resistance, not a personal moral failure. When you take away the shame and replace it with practical data, everything changes.
